Kellie had hoped the the fall of Villar would bring about a return to normalcy in both timelines. Unfortunately that didnt appear to be the case.
Magic was out in the open now, while Kellies timeline appeared more comfortable with magic, considering the town was so accepting of anthros, Katie's timeline wasnt as fortunate.
The governments of the world were taking actions out of fear. Kellie had heard about what happened to Cole and Kumiko. While the government's in her timeline weren't reacting as severely, she still had some concerns. As she, Jack, Ann, and Ty now approached the park, Kellie could see the anthros and demons attempting to rebuild the park.
Kellie could see anthro construction crews rebuilding rides as well as Circes castle. A smirk crossed Kelliesbface as she noticed Franklin, the anthro blue cheetah, gazing over a set of blueprints as he directed crews. Franklin may have been a lawyer by trade but he certainly knew how to lead.
Gazing at another area, Kellie stifled a laugh. Bob the zebra demon was now hauling a massive amount of materials, Ms. Warner the anthro zebra woman watching him carefully. Cindy Warner's arm was in a sling, a broken arm that resulted from the attack on the park. What made things humorous was Vixi the anthro animatronic speeding past Bob with an equally large amount of materials. Vixi's melodic voice encouraging the grumpy looking demon to hurry up much to Cindy's enjoyment.
Entering Circes throne room the family could see Circe, Lilith, Merlin, and Baba Yaga. Lilith still had not healed from her battle wounds. As Kellie and Jack approached, Lilith stood wincing as she grabbed her amputated arm.
"Kellie, Jack," Lilith frowned. "Weve been expecting you and I see you have brought the children."
"Well you did ask for them mom," Jack said quietly as they all now approached.
"This concerns all of us my son," Lilith stated. "Villars actions as well as his defeat have altered things considerably."
"Things have changed that much," Kellie asked.
"It appears so," Merlin said solemnly. "After talking with the future Lynne and Morgan it appears many things have changed."
"And yet somethings remained the same," Circe said sadly.
"Mia and Zack," Kellie asked to which the group nodded.
"It appears that Mia and Zack in any future were destined to care for Yuriko in some capacity," Merlin stated. "That trio apparently is quite formidable in the future."
"Do we know where the kids are," Jack asked.
"Unfortunately no," Lilith grumbled. "Rexie and Ayami are currently searching along with the future Yuriko. However, if things repeat as previously it will be quite sometime before they are discovered."
"And that is the reason why we are concerned," Baba stated. Kellie and Jack now anxiously gazed at Merlin as the elderly wizard now began to pace.
"While the timelines have not merged it appears some events can not be avoided as Mia and Zack have shown," he said. "We believe some us may still be in peril, which is why we wish to talk about Ty and Ann."
Ann shifted nervously as the four adults now stared at her. "What about us," she asked.
"Well," Merlin stated. "In the other future the decision was made to send Ty to an entirely different universe. One in which he would be the only one of his kind, his powers not manifesting until he reached the age of 15."
"You want to send my son away," Jack bellowed, his eyes growing red.
"Sit and listen boy," Lilith growled. Jack paused, quietly sitting as his mother glared at him. "I know how that sounds but you need to listen. As long as Ty is here he is in danger. Fukushu and the rest of his followers will not rest. Ty in another far flung timeline became Villar. What is to prevent that from happening again?"
"We'll stop it," Kellie said firmly.
"You couldn't stop him this time," Lilith scoffed. "What makes you think you can stop this from repeating? All we wish is to make the boy safe and prevent him from meeting the same fate Villar met."
"So what about me," Ann asked. "I mean you said this concerned myself and Ty."
"Ann," Baba said sadly. "It appears you are an aberration in all this. The future Lynne and Morgan are unsure what happened to you."
Ann sighed, she had already lost her timeline, her family, her friends, even her Jackie. To hear she apparently had no future only disheartened her more. "Mom, dad," Ann asked. "Does Jackie exist in this timeline?"
"Yeah," Jack stated. "Shes friends with Mia and Zack why?"
Ann gazed at the two rings on her hand. Closing her eyes Ann now focused her magic into the rings. Kellie and Jack watched as Ann began to grow younger. The teens watched as Ann's face grew softer, the 15 year olds face journeying backwards as she raced backwards in age.
Ann was now growing shorter as she grew younger. Kellie and Jack watched as Ann's teenage curves evaporated, Ann's small b cup breasts melting into her chest as her waifish body narrowed. As Ann crossed the threshold from teen to teen Jack and Kellies jaws dropped.
Ann's gothic hair began to lighten, the purples and blues that stained her blond locks lightening as she hit 12 and raved towards 11. By the time Ann's regression completed a young blond 5th grader sat before them, any sign of Ann's gothic appearance having vanished.
"Mia and Zack are in the 5th grade right," she asked to which Jack nodded. "Well in that case now I am too."
"But why," Kellie whispered.
"Mom you heard what they said " Ann sighed. "I had no future. I want a fresh start, a chance to be someone else. Maybe, maybe being a friend to Zack and Mia will be that chance. From now on, just think of me as Ann Pendragon your kid sister."
Kellie nodded as Ann gave her a small smile. She may have lost her friends and her timeline but maybe she could have a chance to still be with Jackie. As they now looked at one another they wondered what would come next.
