“So we have a new mermaid and a new merman, what about you three?” inquired Cura
Cura looked to see the other three friends, still thinking about their decision. After a few moments, however, Lupe would swim forward.
"I'll join in, too."
"Are you sure about that?" Cura questioned.
"I'm sure." Lupe replied. "To be honest, I've always been fascinated with mermaids but I usually just considered them to just be fairy tales for children."
Her eyes soon turned to look at Adrian and Stacy. "But now that I know merfolk are for real. I just… Can't help but want to indulge in my childhood wish, you know?"
Cura giggled. "I know what you mean. I'm glad to hear that you've come around."
The mermaid brought out an orb from her bag to Lupe's chest. Before Cura even broke the orb, Lupe could sense something inside her body reacting to all of the magic surrounding her. It was for this reason that, once the orb was crushed, her body eagerly accepted taking on an aquatic form without any pushback.
The process started with Lupe's one-piece bikini top splitting into two pieces, with a cut happening cleanly down the middle.
Lupe blushed a bit as curious eyes were on her suit, which had split up and exposed her midriff to the world.
The straps on her upper bikini became small pearls as the main bra hardened to be a pair of light yellow sea shells.
Her bikini bottom turned into scales and went into to cover her two legs as they fused together to form one tail.
Lupe was speechless through the entire process. She winced a bit at the brief feeling of her bones and skin merging together but she relished the feeling. It only confirmed to her that this transformation wasn't a dream but something that was really happening to her.
She then sighed once the scales moved down towards her knees and stopped at her ankles.
Lupe was a bit confused when she saw that her two feet were otherwise completely unchanged.
"Where are the tailfins?" Lupe asked.
As if on cue, her feet immediately pulled out into two light yellow fins.
"There they are." Harmony answered as everyone began to chuckle.
Lupe looked at her tail in disbelief. Her tail was completely made up of golden scales that shimmered the sunlight. The new mermaid looked at her sides to not only see a new set of gills but also her red Aztec dragon imprint, which had since become incorporated in her tail with ruby red scales.
Lupe laid a curious hand on her tail and smiled at how good it felt to feel her scales for the first time. This wasn't a dream.
"It's real. It's all real." Lupe said in a slightly choked voice. "I'm a mermaid."
"Indeed you are. Welcome to mermaidhood" Cura said with a warm smile.
Lupe flicked her tail to hug Adrian and Stacy, knowing full well they would be together under the sea for the rest of their lives.
"And then there were two." Colton quipped as he and Harmony were now the only humans left.
“So we have another new mermaid. What about you both?” inquired Cura.
