"You feel it already, don't you?" Joanna asked.
"Feel what?" Marina asked.
"Your attraction to men feeling strange; like, it's not as strong as it used to be."
Joanna had a point; but she didn't want to admit it. "Your point?"
"My point is, I look at you, and I see someone given a gift of ravishing and everlasting beauty and she wants to throw it away... and for what; a life of complications, heartbreak, scrambling to pay bills, going to a job, I'm guessing you hate? Life seems so much simpler down here. Here, we're free... here, we're queens! I don't want to go as far to claim we're goddesses..." Joanna stroked Marina's cheek; "but if you were to tell me you were one... I'd believe you!"
Marina looked into Joanna's eyes for a few moments. Joanna read her like a book. She recalled her scumbag of an ex-boyfriend, her dead-end job, living paycheck-to-paycheck. "I've always been happiest when I'm down here, exploring the ocean." She said, finally.
"Then, let's explore, it together!" Joanna said in a sultry tone before her lips met Marina's. Marina's eyes went wide as saucers; and even Joanna was surprised by how pleasurable kissing another woman was. Neither of them ever kissed a girl before; or even thought of doing so before becoming mermaids; but as they moaned into each others' mouths, every last thought or notion of being attracted to anything but a woman crumbled into dust.
