Due to a slight scheduling error that was honestly out of your control, your trip to Pleasure Island was put on hold until only recently. Something about a virus going around and there being a bit of an embargo on traveling for a while, but that was long since cleared up (you hope). And lucky you, it turns out this place takes it's holidays quite serious!
From the mood lighting to the numerous employees dressed as skeletons or what not to even the the man made fog that rolled across the streets gave everything that Halloween feel to it. The attractions had even changed to reflect the season; graveyard tour guides, horse drawn carriages instead of the usual minicarts that were used, cornfield mazes, "haunted" hotels, the "Cursed" gift shops, and so on. Anything that could be renamed was for the occasion. Even the street lamps were uproots and replaced by old timey Victorian style gas lamps.
In a way, you almost counted yourself lucky to be here during all this as it gave the entire island a bit more of a personality in and of itself outside of the whole selling gimmick that it was own for. Even as you wondered about the streets looking for the hotel you'd be set up in for the next month, you couldn't help but smile from ear to ear at every sight you took in...
This was going to be a fun trip.
