“Lead the way,” you say, Skylar smiles back at you. She grabs your arm and leads you to her bedroom door and opens it slowly. She peeks her head out and looks for anybody. She opens the door wider and makes her way out as quietly as possible. You follow her, or rather she pulls you with her. Both of you make it to the top of the stairs, she slowly walks down, step by step. Making sure not to make a sound, then she stopped suddenly, she put a finger to her lips as a signal to be quiet.
You could just barely hear what sounded like her little sister Mia, the one you bumped into earlier, speaking,
“I saw Skylar and a boy go to her room,”
“Did you now sweetie, you know Skylar isn’t allowed to bring that boy home after last time,”
“But it was a different boy this time,”
“I went into her room earlier, Mia, there wasn’t a boy in sight. Though she was being a little... I’ll have a look in a minute sweetie,” her mother finished.
“That little rat!” Skylar said in a kind of whisper level shout, not to make too much noise, “she said she wouldn’t say anything, I’m gonna get her for that... but what to do...” Skylar said to herself, she turned herself to you, “any ideas?”
“Wait, why are we down here in the first place,”
“Oh, I have a little idea for payback, but it wasn’t planned for Mia. She’s just a little problem in the way,”
