"Wife Swap - Farm Edition" is a spin-off series of the original reality television program "Wife Swap". Like in the original version two families swap mothers. But contrary to the original only one participant is human. The other one is a simple farm animal.
The human wife can choose which what farm animal she want to swap life. The farm is chosen by the program. The first episode of each season is a live show. In the first part the farm animals are changed into humans and introduced to their human family. In the second part the women are transformed into the animal they have chosen and are brought to their farm.
During the first week, the new wive has time to adjust. But during the second week, the new wife must adhere to exactly the same rules and lifestyle of the wife she is replacing. During this two weeks a participant can only change back if the TV audience vote for it.
At the end of the two weeks both participant are asked if they want to stay in their new home. If both agree they remain in their chosen form for the rest of their life. If not, then they are changed back (if possible) and return to their former life.
