Downstairs, Joe was reading the newspaper, completely oblivious to what was going on upstairs, when he suddenly felt odd.
Joe could see his 'Regular Joe' belly was shrinking.
He stared, jaw hanging, as his 'Regular Joe' style belly shrunk smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller still.
Soon, his belly was nice and slim, and really thin.
His shirt and pants looked slight oversized, but aside from that, he was quite puzzled. He shook his head. Maybe he had lost weight, and been so wrapped up in work and his personal life that he hadn't noticed.
Joe could feel his thin body.
Suddenly, he felt like he was being pumped up with air.
he looked down at his upper arm and could not believe what he saw.
His arm was a lot thicker than he could remember. Also the veins in his arms were clearly visible, pumping heavily with every heartbeat.
Out of curiosity he flexed one of his arms a little, and to his surprise the biceps responded by growing into a decent peak. He whistled in surprise.
It all seemed obvious to him what had happened
- He seemed to have gained muscle; for his shirt and pants, that had once been oversized, now seemed like they were hugging every part of his muscular body.
He wanted nothing to do with exerting exercises or lifting heavy weights. He did however wanted, as all men, a more muscular body, but the only way to reach that is to exercise.
he hardly noticed a small tingling feeling in his chest. He hardly even noticed a small purple spot forming on the back of his neck, or a single strand of his chocolate brown 'Regular Joe' hair turning a bright green colour.
