While Rachel was making her way to school, Rob was in his bedroom getting ready. His mind looked back to discovering that his now girlfriend was a wereskunk, and that weres were indeed real. While the two of them were happy with the status quo, Rob wondered if he should eventually make the plunge to weredom and when. After all, she was a wereskunk, and if the two of them were to advance in their relationship, he should make the become a were-something. Although, that something wasn't on his mind at the moment. He turned to look at the clock and noticed the time. "Gah!" he yelled out, "I'm running late!" He grabbed his backpack as he rushed out the door and down the stairs to the street. He couldn't see his sister, and he figured that she was way ahead of him. He thought that if he were to get to school on time, he needed to start running. He didn't get very far before a car drove up beside him.
"Hey," a female voice called from the car, "Need a ride?" Rob turned to see Amy's face calling from the backseat. Rob smiled as he quickly moved to the now stopped car and climbed inside the back next to Amy. He saw that Amy's mother was driving the car.
"I take it you're going to school as well?" Amy's mother asked as she started the car up again.
"Yeah," Rob answered with what little breath he had. "Thanks."
"Not a problem," Amy said, "We're just going to the same place. Lucky for you."
Rob looked over at Amy and said, "In more ways than one." Amy rolled her eyes and giggled when he said that. She then smiled at him and pulled him close to her, giving him a deep kiss which he returned. The two silently made out with each other before a certain woman in the front seat cleared her throat.
"Not that I disapprove," Amy's mother said, "but I'd suggest waiting till after school before doing that."
Amy reluctantly let go of Rob before saying, "Sorry, mom."
Amy's mother smiled and said, "That's better." The group approached the school as Amy's mother continued, "We're almost there, and I expect both of you to be on your best behavior while at school."
"Erm...yes ma'am," Rob answered as he looked at the approaching school.
"Ma'am?" Amy's mom asked, "Yeesh, you make me feel old. At least a century." There was a little grin on her face.
"What?" Rob asked blinking.
Amy's mom chuckled as she steered the car into the unloading section of the car. "Never mind. You two have a good time at school."
"We will," Amy said as she opened the door and left the car. Rob followed suit on the other side. "Thanks again," he said as he closed the door. With a wave, Amy's mom drove off towards the university.
"So..." Amy started as she and Rob walked towards the school building.
"Um..." Rob started as the first warning bell rang out. "Gah, we don't have much time." He quickly turned to Amy and said, "See you at lunch?"
She smiled and said, "Sure, see you then." She watched as Rob quickly into the building towards his first class with Amy following shortly after him.
