Since August was often considered the slowest month due to no real holidays going on in the month, the August issue of Animalia Magazine was less holiday focused and more focused on what was going on as a whole. While this did take into account the global pandemic, it did so in ways that were designed to be funny.

The Past, Present, and Future not only talked about the current pandemic, but also compared it to other famous pandemics. The article made it clear that for all the hype that Coronavirus created, the only one that had beat it out in both death and contagion was the Black Death of the 14th century. The article also talked about the infamous "covidiots", which had come to mean people who do outrageously dumb things to either protect themselves from the pandemic, or ended up with them catching Coronavirus themselves. The final thing talked about what we could learn from the current pandemic, one of which was, 'in a time of crisis, don't be stupid.'. But what was probably the biggest news was that Molly, the first Animalian confirmed with Covid-19 was also the first to recover completely from it. While there were those who think that she could help those infected, it was the news that she would only be able to help Animalians with Covid that was more shocking than her recovery. But because of rules and regulations regarding the use of the Animalia Virus, there were many who seemingly threw a sore loser's tantrum on social media only for digital karma to bite them in the butt.

While there was plenty of things going on, it was the current pandemic that was holding the most attention. There was plenty of other stuff going on, but everyone else was more focused on the pandemic.
