The stir turned into a blur. "You piece of shit!"
Alec's mind flashed to the barn, one of the harpies had tried to warn the other for a trap, the person he possessed apparently knew at least some things. How could he have missed that.
"No..." He didn't get any further as Amber foot connected with his stomach. He skidded back from the force of the kick. Clutching his torso he gasped for air.
"How dare you!" She screeched.
Alec threw up his arms as Amber went for the second kick. His arms barely held and were left throbbing, but they at least knocked Amber off balance. "Stop!"
"You vile piece of goblin crap!" She screamed.
A third kick came, but Alec narrowly managed to roll just out of reach. His back hit the wall as Amber came after him again. "Shit!"
Alec panicked, he felt a sharp pain from the earlier kick as he lunged from his position and over the bed. His room was way to small to fight in.
"You fucking disgusting coward!" Amber spun around and in the same motion launched the lamp from the table at Alec. Alec winced as it slammed into his shoulder.
He needed to do something. "Po.."
Amber held up a finger before her lips. "SILENCE!"
Alec knew he finished the word, but no sound came out and nothing happened.
"No tricks from you, you... weak... pathetic... little... troll dick." Her screaming had stopped, a much more menacing tone had taken it's place. She was fuming, her face red like a volcano. Her eyes seemed to light up with lightning.
Alec help up his hands in surrender and his lips moved uselessly as he tried to tell Amber he gave up. No sound came out.
"You WILL regret THIS!" She growled. She put her thumbs against the index fingers of her other hand creating a rectangle between them. "I NEEDED a guinnea pig to test this and guess what, I found a lizard's asshole to try it on."
Alec's mouth kept screaming soundless apologies as his eyes darted around the room for a solution. Amber and the bed were between him and the door outside. The window was closer, but not being on ground floor didn't make that an option.
"Magic mirror special." She pulled her thumbs and fingers apart and Alec was sure he saw the air shimmer between them.
He wasn't going to wait to see what she had planned, desperately he grabbed a pillow from the bed and threw it at Amber who turned away to deflect it.
Alec saw his chance, he bolted over the bed and to the open door, screaming soundlessly for help.
He was so close, "FLASH OF LIGHT!" he heard Amber say behind him. A flash of light filled the room blinding him. He slammed into the open door and fell to the ground.
Before he could get back up, Amber put her foot on his chest and pushed down hard on him. "Let's see if this works." Her smile was more effective than any ice spell had any hope of ever being, he felt shivers run over his back and his blood freeze.
She moved her hands over her eyes. "Sleep"
Alec's eyes felt heavy, he tried one more scream. It transformed into a yawn and the world went dark.
