After Micha swam out of the private party room, Cura and her group of humans were left to their own business on the food table. Colton was more than happy to order more seaweed pasta and fungus sauce while the rest were finishing up their remaining meals.
Damon and Monica were the first to get up.
“Thank you for the meal, Cura.” Monica said. “I really appreciate your help. I’m going to spend the night at the hotel and think about buying books for my studies.”
“Very well.” Cura nodded before her eyes suddenly shot up. “Oh yes. Schooling will begin in a few weeks. I recommend getting books and materials for your studies, in case anyone has to go to school.”
Harmony nodded in agreement, along with Tim - Who has decided to finish his school so he can get more job security and a possible higher wage.
Damon stretched out his arms. “Yup. Ah… I really want to go to bed and take care of Isabella. I want her to get her forty winks early and be a healthy little mergirl.”
Monica smiled at that and lovingly wrapped her arms around her merman husband as they left to go to the nearby hotel.
Stacy and Chloe decided to get up as well and join the married merman and mermaid couple in their leave.
“Thanks for the meeting, Cura. We really appreciate your help. Stacy and I are going to spend the night deciding on what company to choose next.” Chloe said with a smile.
Cura smiled back. “You’re very welcome. Please, don’t be afraid to talk to me if you two need help.”
Soon enough, the remaining merfolk on the table were Cura, Colton, Adrian, Harmony, and Lupe.
Harmony noticed that Lupe looked a bit solemn in her expression. She didn’t want to say anything but Lupe was a bit upset with what happened with Alejandro but, most of all, she was unhappy at the idea of having to be a hair stylist again instead of pursuing her true passion with art.
“Lupe, are you alright?” Harmony said quietly.
Lupe didn’t want to bring attention to her troubles so she merely nodded with a weak smile.
“Hey, Cura.” Adrian spoke. “Micha mentioned that we’re already better than the last group of humans you brought him. Whatever happened to them?”
