While the pandemic was going on, there were often things that causing newer outbreaks, even if people should have known better. For example, college parties in reopened colleges were causing colleges to reconsider opening. While this was relatively new, it was extremely annoying, especially for Animalians heading to college. But there were plenty of things going on to help distract Animalia from the bad things going on.

For example, both Mercy (dressed as Rogue) and Shyra (dressed as Sailor Moon) were both finalists in the more daring Cosplay contest, but the final 'showdown' between the two of them was postponed, not due to the pandemic, but due to the number of "fanservice" comments on the website on who was better than who. But that didn't mean that it was stopped completely, because someone commented that they should fight it out on Halloween as a Boo Haw Haw. While the option wasn't discarded completely, there was still the other option of the Mummy going up against a new opponent, so the option was left open.

Another amusing and annoying thing was Beacon and Allura's temporary move to Mieni. Beacon's herm pregnancy was progressing well, and fast enough to warrant the temporary move, and Beacon's parents decided to accompany them. While the mandatory "isolation" before and after the move was annoying, Beacon's parents were more than capable of affording the move because of the "Black light Pollock" painting (as it became unofficially known on the website) had eventually sold for a whopping $10 million to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, including a custom frame containing black light lightbulbs to showcase the painting's true "colors".
After their arrival, Beacon's parents were able to meet Xena, who was a close friend to Beacon and Allura. The brief scare she gave both parents was considered amusing enough to offset the annoyances.

Another amusing discovery was that Dino city was getting its own Pi Eta Tau Building. Those who were going to college in Las Vegas were already being made members of the original Pi Eta Tau building. But what made the Pi Eta Tau building in Dino City different was that it was matching the prehistoric theme of Dino City. This was causing some unusual memes on the internet, some tied to the Flintstones, others... well, not.

While it would be kind of sad for the original members of Animalia Ambassadoria that they wouldn't be going to the same college, as originally planned, it did make it easier to cover different locations, so that was something.
