So you followed Pyrrus and Scorch up hill and dale and as you got
closer to the 'settlement ' you could see the object rising from the
other side of the next hill.
Basically it was gigantic, was rectangular, spherical and obviously not created naturally and if you hadn't known better you would
have described it as one of those Colony Star Ships you'd
seen in one too many scy fy movies.
However Pyruss and Scorch were describing it as 'Mother'
so you kept shut on what you thought it really was and trotted along with the other two dragons to the top of the hill where
you got a better look at 'Mother' and the settlement of tents erected
around it.
'Mother' was clearly a spacecraft of some kind and from the forests of trees poking out here and there through torn hull plates
must have crashed onto this planet centuries,if not thousands of
years earlier.
What Pyrus and Scorch called 'caves' were actually rooms and bays in the dead Colony ship that the dragons had ripped off the
outer hull plates to make a dwelling in the wrecked spacecraft.
Whether 'Mother' was originally crewed by these dragons ancestors was anybodies guess but as you got closer to it and the
primitive tents you saw telltale signs in what was left of the
hull ,hatches,portholes and the like
that the crafts original inhabitants were human sized.
Then it hit you,one of your two companions said humans had been popping up in the area for the last 2,057 years.
So one plausible theory was that 2,057 years ago this Colony
ship, carrying humans had crashed on this planet and that something
be it the stars rays, mutagenic water or even a angry
dragon god had changed the colonists into much bigger and
reptilian dragons, such as you were now.
It also meant,if this theory was correct, that returning to Earth probably meant going inside 'Mother'
So you were most disappointed when the settlement didn't offer you
a 'cave' which would have given you access to the craft
but a mere big tent to make home in.
