"Vincent! I'm home!" Ramon called, as he walked into the house, taking off and hanging up his coat.
Vince logged off his computer, and ran to see his dad.
"How was school today?" Ramon asked his son.
"Was ok." Vince said.
Suddenly, there was a sudden poof, and Ramon's ears became pointed, almost bat-like. Ramon scratched his ear, feeling a slight tingle.
"You ok, dad?" Vince asked his dad.
"I'm fine, son." Ramon said, with a wave of his hand dismissively. "I feel fine."
Ramon didn't know it, but he was starting to turn into a monster.
"Well, if you're sure, Dad," Vince said, "I'll just be finishing off my homework."
He darted off to his room.
By this time, Ramon, who was downstairs, reading the paper, hardly noticed a pale green spot forming on the back of his neck.
Ramon scratched the back of his neck, but suddenly felt a sharp point on his neck.
When he looked at his fingers, he gaped; for he saw that his fingernails had grown slightly longer, and they all ended in sharp points. His jaw hung for a while, but as he went to absentmindedly bite a nail, he discovered that it wasn't just his fingernails that were growing. he looked in the mirror, and saw that His teeth were now much longer and sharper too. He also noticed the pointy ears.
"I don't understand. What—" Ramon muttered to himself.
But Ramon never got to finish that statement as he felt his feet hurting.
