Alec was starting to shake as the adrenaline from his escape finally wore off. He sat down with his back against the wall of the barracks as the world seemingly spun around him. Several guards saw him and came to the conclusion that he was another adventure that had lost his party mates, it was a common occurrence and usually best to just give them space.
Alec sat dazed for a while before finally coming to his senses. And intended to pull out his guild card upon thinking about it a window popped up in his view and it was labeled “inventory.” In the window were all the belongings he had on his actual body including his guild card which he tapped making it appear in his hand.

He reviewed his guild card and was able to see that there were some changes that both explained a-lot and answered a question he had subconsciously refused to ask.

Its seemed like Alec when he possessed someone took his body with, it didn’t make a lot of sense but it certainly made things a bit easier than having to worry about an unattended corpse. And it meant he could get out of Agni’s body without worrying about dying. Now calm and assured of his own safety he headed back out into the near by woods to dispel his possession.
Alec found a close but secluded spot in the woods and mentally prepped himself for the pain and disorientation.
“It’s now or never...” He groan and then said the trigger word with intent. “Possession”
There was another flash of light and then hot pain as he felt himself collapse on the ground. He was now looking up past the thin canopy of trees at the blue sky.
“That was a trip!” He heard a voice near by yell. “You have a teleportation spell!” He cheered happily. “That was exactly what we needed.” He collapsed on the ground next to Alec. “Though I feel more well rested now too, its a odd skill to say the least.”
Alec chuckled at Agni’s ignorance, and decided to clear up the misunderstanding as he clearly remembered nothing.
“No, it wasn’t teleportation. I took over your body and just ran. Its a good thing too you would have died if you stayed behind with me but without my dead weight we got away using your physical stats.” Alec finished his declaration and Agni stayed silent for a bit.
“So your skill prevented me from remembering any of that? Whats to keep you from simply body snatching?” Agni was straight to the point and fortunately Alec had already considered the response.
“There is a time limit, I couldn’t have been there much longer than I was. It seem the more heavily I use the body the more it burns the timer.” Alec said so in a rehearsed tone as he explained the “workings” of his unique skill.
“That is reassuring.” Agni said as he got up and surprisingly started tending to Alec’s wound. “Good news its not as bad as it looks we should get paid well for the information we discovered and you will have enough with plenty leftover to get this treated.” He finished offering a hand to help him up. “We will make a good team in the future!” he said as he started supporting him as they headed to the gate. “But I think I’m going to take a day or two off.” he finished that with a chuckle.
