"Certain species of fish change sex based on their environment and the ratio of males to females. It would be cool if humans could do the same", Josh thought. "If this book is real that's what I want to try out."
Josh took out a pen and began writing:
"All humans are born male. Shortly after their 18th birthday, their "fish gland" activates causing human males to become aggressive towards other males in areas where adult males are more than 10% of the population. The males will battle for dominance, and when an adult male loses a fight that same gland will release hormones to slowly transform them into a female."
Josh thought for a second, and then continued:
"Because of the very low ratio of men to women, society is mostly run by women, and the few men live isolated lives where they mostly just have sex to produce children. Some young adults are turned off by the idea of a life of nothing but sex and purposely lose to become women, but most are excited by the idea and fight hard to stay male."
Josh put down his pen and wondered if anything had happened, when he heard a knock on his door. His twin sister Anne walked in, except HE wasn't Josh's sister, but his brother Andy! "Hey Josh, I just wanted to say good luck out there in college. I think wanting to be a man is silly, but if that's what you want I hope you succeed."
