If Jacob leaves her post, she might miss Seth. Maybe there’s an unattended diaper bag she can “borrow” a new diaper from in the lobby. She waits until the front desk receptionist gets up to leave, then sprints for the desk. Just as she’d hoped, there’s a lost and found box under the desk. And inside the box is a diaper bag. Jacob lets out a sigh of relief. She grabs the diaper bag and returns to her spot behind the plant.
Jacob was hoping the bag might have boy clothes, but she must have used up all her luck on finding the bag. The bag contains baby wipes, diapers patterned with princesses, a sparkly T-shirt with a unicorn on it, and pink overalls. The outfit is just as girly as the dress Jacob is currently wearing, but she decides to change into it anyways. Anything to get out of a dress.
The diaper change is difficult and done poorly, as Jacob is both a clumsy toddler and hiding behind a plant. But she cleans herself up, tapes a fresh diaper on, and changes into the T-shirt and overalls. She looks herself over. There’s an unpleasant side effect to wearing clothes that even slightly hug her body: there is a very obvious bulge around her waist from the diaper.
Still, Jacob feels better in this outfit than she did in the dress, so she considers this a win.
