Dr Jenkins continued to creep around the farm building as the sounds of mating cows grew more distant. He guessed that he was in an outbuilding, given the lack of visitors and staff. However, he knew it would only be a matter of time before Carter’s colleagues figured out what had happened.
If he could just escape the Zoo that would at least give him some time to think. Then he could figure out how to convince everyone that the ‘incident’ involving Prince was not his fault.
He tried a few doors, only finding some toilets and store cupboards. However, at the back of the building he found what looked to be a storage room. Having retrieved Carter’s ID card, Jenkins was able to gain entry.
Upon entering the room, Jenkins was stunned by what he saw.
The room was piled high with boxes of what appeared to be various strains of transformation serum, all of which he guessed were based on his own horse variant. All of the species concerned were farm animals, although there were many sub-species and more exotic breeds listed.
Dr Jenkins was shocked by this discovery. Either the Farm Living exhibit had discovered how to make a serum years before him, or the Zoo had been stealing his research from under his nose.
The doctor thought for a moment… perhaps bringing down the Zoo was a more achievable goal than being welcomed back into his old job. In any case he knew he had to get out of there.
