Days became into weeks, weeks into months, and in an entire year of diaper changes, bottle feeding, and “here comes the airplane!”, Edward got tired of it. He just wanted to be with his wife as an adult, but the closest he got to being naked with her is during bath time.
Over the course of the year, Edward didn’t just learn he could become a toddler, he learned he could become any age. After that, he learned it wasn’t just him he can turn into. He became movie stars, comic book characters, even some animals.
Towards the end of the year he learned he can change certain parts of his body and even change his clothes with him. He can have the legs of a Cheetah for speed, wings of a bird for flight, or even the arms of a gorilla for strength.
His shape shifting wasn’t just become the thing, he gained their attributes as well. When he learned about his chameleon abilities, he knew it was time to leave.
In the middle of the night, Edward was sleeping in the room meant for their future children. Luckily he only had a toddler bed and not a crib.
Walking out of the bed, he reached into his pocket for the note he’s been writing. Leaving it on the floor, he turned just his skin into chameleon scales and left.
Heading to his car as an invisible toddler, he decided to turn into an adult wearing the same clothes.
Driving down the road, he looked back at his old life. Married, almost a father, a good job, plenty of friends. But if his wife kept him doing what he was doing, he wouldn’t have a life anymore.
Edward drove for hours until he found a truck stop with no people. He reached into the back for his bag and went inside.
Inside he took off the onesie, diaper, and baby socks and threw them away. In his bag were a week’s worth of clothes rolled up into a duffle. Putting on casual clothes, Edward decided it was time for a body change.
Looking at himself, he was kinda ugly and gaining some fat. Luckily, he can shape shift. His new body traits went as so:
Black hair to red
Almost obese to totally ripped
Light freckles on his face
Brown eyes to blue
Wide nose to thin
Edward looked at himself and was ready to start a new life.
