Anime miyou!

added 3 years ago O

Sadie nervously followed the bouncy cat hat girl down the hall as Rei and Alyla followed close behind.
"Omigosh, you're gonna love this sooo much, Sadie~Chan! There's snacks and drinks and all kinds of stuff!" Nikki chirped as she skipped down the hall.
'Okay Davis... it's nerd fest time.' Sadie thought as she walked in and took her seat in the anime club room, one used for the school's Japanese course judging by the word listings on the wall, filled with katakana, hiragana and kanji characters.

The anime club excitedly chatted as they were apparently excited about something.
Sadie just held her head low to the desk and looked around a bit as the Teacher stepped in. She had rounded brown eyes, a small nose, a simple frame with modest curves, in a simple blouse and skirt with her hair pinned up via chopstick looking things.
"Hello Anime Club, I am Mrs. Nanaimo. I say this because I see we have a new member with us. Young lady, please introduce yourself." the teacher annouced as she motioned for Sadie to come up.
"Hey.... I'm Sadie." the texan said causally.
"Hello, Sadie~Chan!" the other students replied.
"It's just Sadie." Sadie said, very confused.
"Oh no dear, "Chan" is a japanese term of endearment. We welcome you as a member of our club and we hope you have a great time." Mrs. Nanaimo retorted.
Sadie just smiled and took her seat.

"And now, our Club President will play our featured material for today: the pilot episode of the original Dragonball." Mrs. Nanaimo announced.
"YEAH! WOO!" Alyla shouted.
'Okaaaaay Sadie, we just gotta sit through this...' the texan thought as the opening began to play.

Oh. My. God! That was the best thing she ever watched! The writing, the voices, the actions, the art, the entire thing was BEAUTIFUL! Sadie had never watched anime, but when she got home, she immediately began to binge watch DBZ. She had also never eaten Sushi, but once she tasted it, you'd better believe the next day at lunch she was nomming down those rolls.

Sadie had also began to subcon add "chan" to everyone's names, and even called some of the teachers sensei. She adapted the anime nature if clumsiness, dropping everything, bumping into people and slipping alot. Hell, her Texan accent basically dissapeared! She even picked up on some basic japanese words!

The next day in class, they began to watch an anime called Lost Song. So good. The girls discussed it alot and they all smiled as they got to know each other! As the week went by, her stubbornness went away and she could now proudly call herself... a weeb.
