The next day was a school day. Sarah arrived at school eager to see the effects of her magic on Caleb.
She wasn’t disappointed. Just as she had planned, Caleb was clearly now 16. She saw him pull up to the school in a really nice BMW.
But Caleb had also changed in ways she hadn’t expected, and Sarah wondered how much of it was specifically from her magic and how much was Caleb’s natural aging. He was a few inches taller than her now, so when he came up to greet her she had to look up to kiss him. Caleb also used to be pretty average-looking; now he was quite handsome, with a dazzling smile and sculpted features.
The biggest change was how athletic he was. Before he was average in build; now he was lean and muscular, every bit defined. He even wore a football T-shirt and tight jeans. Sarah figured she could consider this one a success.
