Both Jaymee's impatience and Jamie's resistance were both taken aback by a phone call. Both of them were distracted enough that both of their forces in trying to take control were halted. The phone call was a variety of clown honks and circus music, making Jamie groan internally. Jaymee, however, practically danced around to the tune, floating on air as she giggled and flopped around towards the big red telephone.
"Hiya? Jaymee callin'!"
The responding voice would have made Nerd Jamie's skin crawl.
"Hiya hunbun!"
Dexter. It was the one who loved and cared for Nerd Jamie. Now it was just a goofy sounding clown. Internally, Jamie felt honestly very sad for her nerdy side. She had a boyfriend that original Jamie envied. Maybe it would have been best to stay as the nerd side of herself. Nerd Jamie had something that she didn't. Someone who would take care of her at any point, someone who would make her safe.
"Hiya Dethtydoo!"
Dextydoo? Both versions of Jamie wanted to gag at that nickname.
"*honk* Time to bring the cheer to the whole neighbourhood, my wittle lovebug! Would you like me to come over and rehearse with you?"
Jaymee was beaming, jumping up and down with joy. "I'd love to, thweety! Pleathe come over! Maybe you could help out with my thtubborn hand. The'th a thilly one today!"
"Oooh! I'll see what's up with that silly little hand. I'll see you later, pumpkin! *honk honk*"
Jaymee honked her nose in response as they ended their call, leaving Jaymee to swoon over her love.
"What a guy! He'th my clown"
Both Jamie's didn't know what to do. They had to find a way to break themselves back into their bodies, and they didn't care which one took control for that moment, all that mattered is that one of them had to get back to the mirror and find out answers on how they can be themselves again.
"Now, let'th thee what would cothtume would look good for my wittle date with my favourite clown..."
Perfect, she's returning back to her room... wait, their room. They needed to remind themselves that they weren't Jaymee. They weren't clowns, nor planned to be them at any point. They just hoped that the mirror would do something.
