Leah expected to have a chance to talk to someone when they arrived. However, this didn’t turn out to be the case. When they got to the daycare, the mean daycare worker carried her in and discovered she wasn’t wearing a diaper or training pants.
“Naughty, naughty girl,” the mean daycare worker scolded. “You took your diapy off, didn’t you? That, combined with how bad you were before we left, means you get time-out.”
“But-” Leah tried, removing her pacifier. The mean daycare worker put the pacifier back in.
“No buts, or more time in time-out.” The mean daycare worker brought Leah over to a changing station, where she stripped Leah of her clothes and then diapered her. Leah thought she would be dressed again, but the mean daycare worker picked her up from the changing station, wearing just the diaper.
“All right, stay quiet and you won’t get more punishment,” the mean daycare worker said, depositing Leah into a playpen. The mean daycare worker then left. Leah sat in the playpen in only a diaper, uncertain of what to do. After a moment, she curled up into a ball on the floor and fell asleep.
She woke up after her time-out was over. When she looked up, she saw an adult watching her.
