She heard about how a sleep mask can increase your sleep hours and improve your sleep quality, so she decided to pick it up first. After picking it up and looking at it, she yawned and stretched. Weird, she though she got enough sleep, as her morning run didn’t usually wear her out. She just shrugged it off, changed into her PJs, and went back to sleep putting her mask on as she did it. As she did, her dreams went crazy. She was running from gunshots in the woods. Dodging bullets and trying to bob and weave, seemingly outmaneuvering her pursuers. She jumped behind some rocks and ended with no where left to go. She looked towards this cave as a man began motioning her to follow him inside. She ran in deep and fatigue her breath as quietly as she could, hoping that the men outside would drive past, thinking they lost her. When she heard the coast was clear, she sighed in relief and turned back to look at the stranger than saved her, “Thank you sir...” just before she could finished she looked back at his shadow and saw fur, and a lot of it. She slowly stepped back out of the cave and into the light. The shadowy, furry figure then stepped out behind her and began to growl. After a blinding light and a gunshot she shot up out of her slumber and yanked the mask off of her head.
Marina woke up and looked at her clock and saw that it was 9am. “Darn! I missed my morning run!” she stated, disappointed and annoyed. “I guess I’ll have to double up today’s workout to make up for it. She went downstairs and made herself an omelette, a whole back of bacon, sausage, and ham, three pancakes, and two slices of toast, all through muscle memory. As she sat down to eat she caught herself. “Wait, why did I make all of this food? I don’t even own any bacon!” She got up from the table, filled herself a glass of water and sat down on the couch.
