The Zoo

Life as a dairy cow is surprisingly easy

added by gilo2.2 2 years ago A O

Dr Jenkins was pleasantly surprised by how easy life as a cow was. The intense heat that he had dreaded had never materialised. Perhaps it was a long-lasting feature of his ingenious antidote, or the lack of bulls in the field with him. Whatever the reason, he was thankful for it.

Aside from this, surviving as a cow had largely been a doddle. Most of the time he could do whatever he liked; whether that be eating, sleeping or plotting revenge, as he grazed with the other cattle.

From time to time he would bump into Carter. He still recognised the former farm manager from the particular markings on her hide. He laughed to himself whenever he saw her, knowing that she was now locked into her new form forever. She was already one of the more docile and feral members of the herd, clearly having accepted that she was now just a simple, pregnant, dairy cow.

Aside from this, the only slightly stressful part of this lifestyle was being milked twice a day; and even that had its positives. Having a heavy udder swinging beneath him all the time was incredibly uncomfortable, meaning that he weirdly looked forward to having the pressure relieved. It was humiliating to be sure, but Jenkins told himself that it was a necessary part of his disguise; not willing to admit to himself that he actually rather enjoyed it.

This routine of milking and little else continued until the fateful day that the serum was scheduled to wear off.

Having had a week to plot his next move, Dr Jenkins had come up with a loose plan. He estimated that the serum would wear off in the early afternoon, perfectly spaced between the morning and evening milking sessions. He had to make sure that he was ready at the far end of the large field, so that he was out of sight of the main farm complex when the time came. There were some woods near the back of the field, which is where he planned to flee to.

After that he would have to think on his feet, but at least nobody would actively be hunting him, assuming he wasn’t spotted.

And so, as the time drew nearer, Jenkins retreated to the far end of the field, ready to return to his old human self…
