"Well, Todd, I ordered you a new jock, but I won't be able to pick it up until tonight. In the meantime, come with me, I think I may be able to jury rig something to give you the support you need," the coach said rubbing his chin.
"Sure thing, can't wait to start running again. It felt really good. Like it was what I was meant to do," Todd said.
In the store room next to a small workout room, the coach found what he was looking for: new basketball netting, and a weight belt.
He told Todd to lose his shorts, and put the belt on, the coach would have to adjust the netting. He scratched his head, it was bigger than he'd expected. Perhaps it was still growing? He made a mental note to pick up a medium horse jockstrap too.
Todd looked at the jury rigged jockstrap with the netting tied shut on one end and folded through the leather weight belt on the other. It looked funny, but it gave him the support he needed. He started to pull up his shorts, but the coach stopped him. He led him into the workout room, and over to a treadmill, the coach had him start jogging and soon had the incline set to the highest setting. He said he'd check back on Todd in a little bit.
In the private room, Todd decided to shuck his shirt too. It felt good to have his hairy body exposed to the air as he ran.
