There were two girls in the group. They seemed.... different. Like, they were like normal people, but just off. But Balie didn't point it out in fear of being accused of anything, her anxiety wouldn't let her. The first one had carnation pink eyes with pale skin and a small, slim face. Her clothes were baby blue overalls covering a white shirt. Her pants were mango colored and her socks were white. She had pink high heels. Her hair stood out to Balie for some reason. The navy blue bair was long. Like, very, VERY long, nearly reaching down to her kneecaps! The odd thing was is it was done in such a way that made her look... gorgeous. Balie wasn't into girls and yet her hair made her feel a way she hadn't felt before. There were tiny lilac colored flowers in the girls hair and it just made her look cuter.
The second one was basically her twin, except with a few differences. She had warm and friendly autumn brown eyes and a slightly rounder face. She was wearing a bright pink, unzipped jacket with a black crop top under neath. Her pale skin was silky smooth, unlike her twins, who had scrapes all over. Her hair, again stood out. It was sholder lengthed and soft, milky white. Like her sisters, it was utterly gorgeous. She couldn't tell what it was, though. Was it the color? The length, the-
"Hello?" The blue haired girl waved her hand infront of Balies face, pulling the blonde out of her thoughts. Balie squeaked in fear. Oh crap. Her throat tightened and her eyes widened. What would she do!? Someone was talking to her! On her first day, too. Balie could barely manage a wave, let alone speak!
"You've... been staring at us for the past... I don't know, 5 minutes?" Balie squeaked again and let out a very small yet noticeable "I-I'm sorry..."
The white haired girl smiled and pat her on the back, making her scream a bit, though nobody seemed to notice. Okay, it's time she admitted it. Balie was sad. Super sad, depressed. She cut her arms everyday to distract herself and she could barely speak a word. Her escape was music and books. She kept herself locked in her room after her family was murdered brutally at a movie theater. She was sleeping under the seats and when she woke up, it was a police officer shaking her awake in relief. They wanted to put her in a foster home, but she was able to take care of herself fairly well, her aunt sending her large amounts of cash each month.
"I-I-I... I like... y-your hair..." She croaked out a tiny compliment and the two girls seemed to smile. Over the duration of the school day, the girls revealed their names to be Janet and Harriet. The were, of course, twins from a barber. They LOVED hair and would nearly non-stop talk about it and comment on the positives and negatives of everyone's hair. Luckily, they didnt say anything about Balies hair. At lunch, Balie giggled at Harriet's joke and the girls squealed in joy, which just made Balie even more nervous.
She played around with her own hair a lot after school, taking out a comb and brushing it for the first time in months. She literally only had a brush and hair straightener for her hair, and that was it. She laid down in her bed after bandaging herself up. She failed to notice her hair slowly turning a light shade of green at the end.
