The day Gwen chose turned out ideal. The weather was beautiful and it allowed her to pretend to study outside by herself after school in a location where she expected her first encounter to occur. Gwen hadn't waited fifteen minutes before her unsuspecting victim approached by. It turned out to be Jocelyn, the squad captain and mastermind. She was a blond, popular and cute girl who Gwen had blamed with almost all the taunts and pranks she received. That young lady had the misfortune of choosing to walk this particular path on her way home.
"Hello, Jocelyn," Gwen said in a cryptic tone as she looked up from her book. Jocelyn stopped, somewhat surprised as she hadn't expected any interaction from Gwen. With a feeling of superiority, Jocelyn responded to her.
"What do you want, nerd?"
“I want you to apologize.” Gwen said with a surprised, yet patient look on her face. “I demand that you apologize for tormenting and humiliating me all this time.”
Her remark made Jocelyn grin ear-to-ear. “What did ya say freak!?” She demanded, but Gwen didn't look intimidated.
“I'm saying that you shouldn't have acted so mean with me. You harassed and teased me. You will regret it if you don't apologize for hurting me.” Gwen explained.
After hearing that, Jocelyn started laughing at her. “Really? And what will you do if I don't? You will cry, Gwenny Jenny?” Jocelyn mocked.
“Maybe I’m a jenny, but I’m not an ass like you”, Gwen said maliciously.
As Jocelyn looked at Gwen smugly and put her middle finger up, she was seldomly aware of a pull on her ears. The small lobes trembled as they slowly swelled, stretching out longer and longer as they pointed and grew triple their size. An itch started spreading across their morphed surface, grey hairs rising outward. Very soon, Jocelyn sported long, furry animalistic ears, their appearance contrasting with the confidence on her face. Gwen couldn’t help but be amused by such a sight and let out a small giggle.
At this, Jocelyn’s smile reverted to a scowl. “What are ya laughing for, stupid geek!?” She demanded, her new ears twitching in irritation. Her mind hadn’t caught up to the new sensations yet, but it wouldn’t be long until she realized just what had befallen her, Gwen figured.
After all, if the ears weren’t a give away, the next thing to occur definitely will.
“I think it’s interesting… you always call me Gwenny Jenny, thinking it's an insult. You believe that donkeys are stupid animals. But it is until now that you will know what it is to be a complete ass.”
By now Jocelyn was fed up with her nonsense. “What’s that supposed to mean… HAAAAAWWW?”
Immediately she stopped, covering her mouth with both hands. Her eyes were wide in shock while her ears were perked up at the noise she just produced. It sounded nothing like her at all. Her voice… it sounded like an animal.
“Oh, cat got your tongue?” Gwen asked snobbishly. “Or should I say, donkey?”
“Hey! Just what are you talking about? Why you acting so haaaawwwty for!?” Jocelyn’s body froze. There it was again. A sound that was almost like a deep bray. She felt something inside her, a feeling she never wanted to admit to: fear. Just what was happening to her voice? Her ears drooped in response to her distress, but this led her to finally noticing the new weight they had put on the side of her head. She jerked her hands to her ears, making contact with the angular, furry surface. In a blind panic, she tugged at them with both hands, and brought them into view as best she could. She winced as it caused her some pain, but that was the least of her worries as took a look at her new ears in horror.
“W-w-what the hell?!” She screamed as her eyes darted back and forth at each ear. “What the hell is wraaaawng with my ears?!”
