Luke tapped on Allison's age of "14". He still didn't really understand what she was getting at, but he figured he should at least humor his girlfriend. He changed "14" to "20", a simple edit of two character. He pressed apply.
"Am I doing this right Ali? I don't really get it." He turned to his girlfriend. "Holy shit."
"What is it?" Allison replied.
In Allison's place was an older version of her. No longer was she a thin-figured teenager. Instead, she was a full grown woman. Her hips had flared out and her chest had grown considerably. While the 14 year old Allison had been a bit of a beanpole, the 20 year old Allison had filled out into a curvy woman.
"Have you changed anything yet?" the older Allison asked him.
"Yes! Look at yourself Allison! you're older! You're an adult!"
Allison looked down at herself. She still felt and looked just like she did before. Did Luke make her like just a couple of years older or something? Allison studied herself for another moment before she realized what might have happened. When Allison used the app before, no one but her noticed anything being different. Does that mean she just doesn't remember herself before the change? She had to ask Luke what he did.
"Luke, you said I was older. How old was I before you changed my age?"
"You were 14." Luke explained. "You don't remember?"
Allison was shocked. To think he was actually so young. 14 felt like an eternity ago. That was before she had finished high school, before she attended college and later dropped out. Were all these memories of her last 6 years fake?
Allison looked at her younger boyfriend. She remembered finding him cute ever since she returned home. She felt a little creepy about crushing on a boy so much younger, but that didn't stop her from making him her boyfriend. If she was actually a 14 year old, well that did at least clear up her conscience somewhat.
"Ali, I can fix this. I can use the app again."
"No! Don't" Allison interrupted.
Even if she was supposed to be 14. She didn't want to be 14. She had been so awkward at that age. She didn't want to return to that. Also, she didn't want to give up her current life. Even if these memories were new, they still felt real. She didn't want to forget her friend's Emily's wedding or her first boyfriend. When thinking about it, In some ways they are real. If she understood the app correctly, everything about the world should have changed with her, so the only one who remembers her being 14 or anything from that reality is Luke.
"Luke, can you give me my phone back?" Allison requested.
Luke handed it over. He was a little stunned. Allison had been cute before, but this Allison was a total babe. He thought back to yesterday when they'd fooled around. It was great, but imagine if he did it with this grownup Allison. It made him hot and bothered just thinking about it.
Allison fiddled with the app. She discovered she could change the awareness settings. With this she could make sure she'd always be aware of any changes no matter who used the phone. She could apply it to Luke as well, but come to think of it, maybe it was better to wait a little. Like, she could attempt to change Luke's age first. It would solve all this awkwardness of their age gap if they both were adults and remembered themselves as adults. Also, Luke would for sure be handsome as a grown man.
She generated a new sentence.
"The 20 year old woman is pregnant."
Shit. She remembered she had to fix that issue as well, but that would have to wait. This sentence didn't let her alter Luke's age.
She generated another one.
"The 15 year old boy is ogling his girlfriend."
