Hey there, my name is John/Jessica. I'm a pretty normal person, I have a pretty un-eyecatching body, no big muscles nor any big features that would seperate me from the rest. I'm in my 30s, almost 40s. I live by myself in an apartment in the city, but I'm saving up to buy my own house soon, though. For a while I've been working at a demolition company---I guess that is the only different thing about me.
My job includes heading into sites due for demolition and making sure there isn't anything important left in those buildings. I often go in these buildings alone because there is often not anything too dangerous, but if there is something important I can't carry, I call for backup that is often nearby. There is supposed to be a team always outside these buildings, but because these abandoned buildings often have nothing of importance in them, they often stray away until I tell them I'm done. I don't blame them though, they often have nothing to do and can't bring anything to do there, leaving them to find something nearby to do.
I've done quite a few of these investigations before, and I feel like I've gotten the hang of it. The last inspector had retired, but it was only after a certain building that, to some witnesses, made him look scarred. He immediately told his boss to demolish it, then he retired, and then moved far away, never to be heard of again.
I signed up for this job because, when I grew up, we always moved around, and that made me like exploring. Whenever we had free time, (My dad was in the army) we would always go around and look for cool, new places to eat at. I also like horror games and stories, because I like the feeling of suspense and fear. I have perfected a lot of horror games, easily figuring out their AI, knowing how to stop them from killing me.
I just got an email about a new building for inspection. It was said to be haunted, which made me excited. It was also very VERY old, almost 30 years old. It was a(n)...
