An hour later the doorbell rang. Nathan was still in 'Her' room, Laura not hearing anything from her since telling her Nina was on the way over. Laura had spent the time cooking. In an effort to cheer Nathan up she had made what had been "his" favorite meal.
Laura answered the door to find Nina with a bottle of wine in one hand and a bag of clothes in the other. 'Howdy pal, would you mind helping me unload the car. This is the perfect excuse to clean out my wardrobe. Where is this mystery girl? I hope these clothes fit. You never said what shoe size she was but I bought over a couple of pairs that are too small for me. She is welcome to them if she wants'
Laura went out to Nina's Corolla and found a pile of colorful clothes on the back seat, she picked up the bundle.
They deposited the clothes on the kitchen table. 'Remember this one' said Nina holding up a sky blue dress 'I wore it to Mandy's wedding and this is the dress I wore at your party when I first met Nathan'
'You didn't have to bring your whole wardrobe. She just needs some clothes to wear until she can buy her own'
'No. I needed to do a cleanout. If this Libby doesn't want them she can give them away to charity. I'm getting rid of everything that reminds me of he who must non longer be named. Where is this girl anyway?'
'She's hiding in her room. She's a bit shy'
'Well get her out here. I want to meet her. If she's a cousin of Nathan's she might be able to give me some clues as to how to get his attention. He's not really gone for months is he? Not when I've just become single once more?'
'Well I guess Libby might be able to give you a few insights. Open that bottle while I go and get her. I dare say Libby might have a glass or two as well'
Laura knocked on Nathan's door but all she heard was 'Go away. I don't want anyone to see me'. Laura chuckled to herself. Nathan now had a cute girly voice. She sounded about 15.
This wasn't going to stop Laura. She opened the door and stepped inside. 'Nathan you are being silly. You can't hide in here for 3 months. Nina has bought over some clothes for you. I demand you come out and thank her. Besides I've cooked chicken Kiev's your favorite. And they are almost ready'
'I can't. I realize I've made a huge mistake. I can't face people looking like this'
'And I thought you were a great actor. This is exactly the practice you need. It's no doubt why they had you get into character a few days before filming started. You need to get used to your new look. Get out there and play the role of a teenage girl. Because for the next twelve weeks this is who you are. And remember your name is Libby. Now don't disappoint me'
