Lucas looked at the computer screen in disbelief. “Trial #34564!!!?” He looked then felt over his arms, his face, his chest and found nothing abnormal.
“Maybe it didn’t work.” Then he felt his backside and his eyes widened. He ran to the lab door, and locked both the physical and electronic locks. Then went to the full sized mirror, and pulled down his pants. In silence he stared at the three inch slightly hairy tail extending from his tailbone.
“It’s actually working! I’m, I’m… am I going to be a were-wolf?” He felt the short tail. He could definitely feel with it. It was real. Lucas was excited at the idea that his life long dream may finally have come true, but he knew the situation was serious. None of the programs he created so far were meant to actually be run. They were practice programs, and would be too unpredictable. He knew he would be spending a lot of time, alone in the lab, figuring out the details – and hopefully preventing any terrible consequences.
First of all, he had better figure out how this transformation was going to work. Was it based on the moon, would it happen slowly, or fast? How could he control it?
