The alarm clock showed 6 in the morning. The curtains were closed, and the room was dark. But Maggie sat up and awake on her bed, unmoving for hours, only lightly pulling her ponytail, a habit of nerves and a way to not fall asleep.
Last night was certainly informative – and sort of worrying. Maggie now sat on her bed considering everything from Ty/Taylor’s birthday and the changes that have transpired, what Taylor told her…and her feelings.
Yes, Taylor did remove the alterations done since Ty changed – although as they had exchanged words, Maggie realized that given the changes Taylor had done, it would be odd if she had no idea of what was what, so a list of facts (that read about as dry as a history book narrated by Dr. Neuman from The Mask, brrrr) was placed in her mind that allowed her to keep the knowledge of this reality while not impacting her emotionally, which allows to explain some things as forgotten by time.
But Taylor had done things that in a way were for the better – sure, changing her parents into cats was fucking insane, but then everyone discovered what those two were up to…things Taylor didn’t know when trying to help her. And if the drunkard was any indication, then Taylor probably did such things to a lot of others since her birthday.
But the only change she did to Maggie herself was make them girlfriends. Everything else was the exact same. Maggie felt a nice warmth creeping into her heart that an apparent goddess found her good enough for who she was when she could have had any girl she could desire.
Maggie groaned at that and fell onto the pillow, wondering what exactly she was going through, ‘I mean…I liked her because of her wishing us together…but she was also really nice…she made sure Gabriel was safe and would call me…she did try to prevent the cat pregnancies by making them both female…if Janice’s sudden arrival is anything to go by, she probably had a hand in it two, but Michael is happy and he deserves some actual happiness…’
Maggie looked to where a picture of her and Taylor had been, ‘Maybe I would have grown to like her normally. Maybe. But she was there when I did need her…but she also wished us together and…honestly, what the hell am I supposed to think…’
Maggie sighs again and pulls the covers up. Those worries are Future Maggie’s worries. Present Maggie wants to get some sleep to not completely wreck her body-clock. Then again, maybe I could ask to have her clock fixed when Monday rolls around…’ Maggie snorted to herself as she drifted off to sleep, while the rest of the town started waking up…
