Smirking, Jason changed “struggling” to “maternity” and submitted it, forgetting that he would be affected as well. The middle-aged man turned into a woman heavily pregnant with what had been his 10-year-old son. The nerdy 17-year-old became a soon-to-be teen mom with a small baby bump. The 35-year-old cashier was now a happily married woman with two children and another on the way, while the 14-year-old stocker transformed into a perky teenage girl. However, none of these changes were noticed by Jason, who had been changed as well.
Janice, previously Jason, waddled over to a rack of maternity dresses and picked one up. She was only halfway through her pregnancy, but since she was pregnant with triplets, already looked full-term. Becoming a mother while still in college was beginning to make her a bit nervous.
“Do you need some help?” asked the stocker. Janice smiled.
“No, thanks. I’m just browsing,” she said.
“Okay. Let me know if you need anything!” the stocker chirped. Janice’s phone buzzed. She took it out. It was a text message from her boyfriend Barry, a one-night-stand she was trying to make a relationship work with. She typed back a response. Before she put the phone away, she spotted the app.
Maybe she could fix things a bit. Reduce the number of kids she was pregnant with, make Barry a better boyfriend, or something else she wasn’t thinking of. Janice generated a new sentence.
“The college student will have triplets with her boyfriend in a few months.”
