By the time Eric returned with drinks, Nicky had completed a turn. Eric sat down on the only vacant seat and asked ‘Did I miss anything?’ he could see a new piece on a green square.
Amy replied ‘Only Nicky saying how she admired your eyes. It’s Jen’s turn now’
Jen tossed and ended up with a 3 and a 4, her piece moved to a blue square. She read the card that had flipped over.
“You have landed on blue, so you get to choose, who in the game, has the nicest shoes’
‘So I gather it is asking who has the best shoes? Well it’s certainly not you Eric. Fancy wearing a flip-flops to your own party. It would have to be Nicky. As usual she looks immaculate. Where did you find those shoes Nicky? They look great’
‘Why thanks Jen. I found them online. They only arrived last week and this is the first time I have worn them’ Nicky had stood up so everyone could see the green stiletto sandals she was wearing. ‘Mind you the heels are not that practical I couldn’t walk across the grass’
Eric couldn’t help but get a a little turned on as Nicky showed off her long legs. To him the shoes looked totally impractical. How could girls walk in such high heels?
‘They really should have called this “The game of compliments” that’s all we seem to be doing’ observed Amy. ‘I guess it’s your turn Eric’
Eric landed on green once more. He read the card that flipped over:
“A piece of knowledge we want from the host, is who has the voice you like the most”
‘How does this game know that I’m the host?’ Eric asked incredulously.
The others just shrugged their shoulders. Eventually Amy said ‘I guess you have to tell us who has the sexiest voice’
Secretly Eric actually did think Jen had the nicest voice but he didn’t want to say that out loud. Instead he said ‘This is not fair’ said Eric. ‘All of your voices sound great to me. I wouldn’t want to single one of you out’
‘Well you have to choose someone’ said Jen
‘How about we help Eric out by doing Paper, Scissors, Rock’ suggested Nicky.
‘Fair enough’ agreed Amy. So the girls did. Jen was the winner – was that karma?
Eric was able to say: ‘I choose Jen’s voice but acknowledge the others are sexy as well’
‘My turn’ said Amy as she picked up then tossed the dice. This time she threw a 6 and a 4. She was now way-out in front and her piece finished up on a blue square. She read the flipped over card.
‘People are vain and have decorations, on their ears and their wrists and other locations. Now the game would like to enquire, whose jewelry do you most admire?’
‘Well I guess that is you as well Jen. Are those the earrings you got for your 21st?’
They were, Jen was wearing diamond earrings her parents had given her for her 21st only 3 weeks earlier. The others noticed she also had multiple silver bangles on her arms and a silver necklace that disappeared into her cleavage.
