Puzzle & Dragon Girls

added by TransforMarv 2 years ago O

Andrew took a closer look at a cabinet labeled “Drake’s Riddle” in a rather simple font featuring five main colors. Art of two of the game's characters flanked the cabinet's monitor. On the left side was a woman with bright red hair and several draconic features, like horns, wings and tail, standing in a cocky pose. Her limbs were covered in black scales and ended in sharp talons, while her quite sizable breasts were covered by similar looking talons, whose sole purpose seemed to be to create a push-up effect. The woman displayed on the other side was clearly meant to be a succubus, indicated by her wings, curved horns and the spade-tipped tail. Her skin was a light purple color and her long hair was in a much darker purple tone. She was throwing a kiss towards the watcher, while also presenting her deep cleavage.

From the short blurbs on the screen he could infer that it was in fact a puzzle game with some light RPG mechanics. You could create and fight with a team out of a sizable (in multiple ways) cast of monster girls against others. During battles you had to match same-colored orbs to unleash the special skills of your girls. The rarity of the various monster girls seemed to be mostly based on bias of the creators, though he noticed that lower rarities were mostly “general” versions of these monster girls. Middle rarities were more specialized sub-species of those girls, while the rarest ones were based on actual mythological deities. Apparently there were ways to increase a girl’s rarity by combining them or having her evolve into a monster of the same family with a higher rarity. They were also categorized into one of five elements, with red, blue and green featuring the common rock-paper-scissors system (red is strong against green, etc) and yellow and purple being strong against each other.

At this point, curiosity was eating away at Andrew. He had to know more about how a gacha arcade cabinet even worked. Following the instructions on the cabinet, he inserted a quarter and turned the crank at the front of the machine, causing a strange whirring noise. The screen shifted to a bright blue sky that was suddenly bisected by a multicolored streak. A big magical stone, it's colors shifting between the game’s elemental colors, was falling straight down and stopped in the middle of a ruined shrine structure, floating a foot over the ground. As cracks started to appear in the orb, so did a set of magical letters in front of it.

'ROLLING CHARACTER'

...

'RECEIVING CHARACTER.'

At that point, a white light erupted from the machine, enveloping Andrew's body.
