Leah’s trying to figure out how to tell Tina she wants to continue to be dressed like this, when she lets out a small fart. Her eyes widen, but she’s unable to do anything as she fills her diaper with poop. Tina comes to a stop.
“What’s that smell?” she asks, looking around.
“…Me,” Leah says in a small voice. Tina looks in the stroller. “I pooped.”
“I didn’t expect you to test the diaper, just try it on,” Tina says.
“It was an accident.”
“An accident?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, in that case, you should probably keep wearing a diaper for the rest of the day,” Tina says. She pushes the stroller to the bathrooms in the back of the store. “Just in case you have another whoopsie.” Tina is lifting Leah onto the changing station in the bathroom when there’s a soft hiss. Leah’s diaper turns yellow.
“I peed,” Leah says. She doesn’t have to fake the mortification. Yes, she wanted to wear a diaper, but she didn’t want to use it!
“I can tell.” Tina lays Leah on her back and removes her diaper. She wipes Leah down, then places a fresh diaper under her butt. “If you have another accident-” Promptly, a spurt of pee comes out of Leah, landing on the clean diaper under her. “Never mind.” Tina sighs. “That’s it. I’m keeping you in diapers until you can get your potty training back to normal.”
“…I understand,” Leah mumbles. She’s conflicted. On the one hand, Tina’s keeping her in diapers like she wanted. On the other hand, Leah’s had three accidents in a row and doesn’t know why.
“You can tell when you use your diaper, so you can wear bottoms over it,” Tina says, replacing the peed on diaper with a new one. “But I’ll have you know, if it’s even slightly formfitting, everyone will be able to tell you’re wearing a diaper.” Tina tapes the fresh diaper on. “I do have an idea that might help with that, though.”
“What is it?”
“If you dress like a regular toddler, then no one would question you wearing a diaper.”
“I like that idea,” Leah says.
“Really?”
“Yeah. But if I’m pretending to be a toddler, I can’t be in high school, can I?” Leah asks. She’s never enjoyed school, and thinks she might have found an easy out.
“Hmm, that’s a good point. And I doubt they’d want someone who needs their diaper changed by someone else to attend.” Tina frowns thoughtfully. “There’s a preschool across the street from your high school, right?”
“Yeah.”
“I’ll go ahead and enroll you there, at least until we get things under control. Sound good?” Tina asks. Leah nods, trying to hide how eager she is. “Great. Now, we should probably do some shopping to help with your toddler disguise. What kind of clothes do you want to wear?”
