The keys rattled in the door one more time and the door started to open.
Tricia knew she didn't have any more time, so she made her decision.
Terri came into the apartment after a short trip to the grocery and saw her daughter at the T.V. still wearing her bedclothes. "Tricia, you really should get dressed for the day even it is a Saturday."
Tricia blinked and nodded. It was so sudden the change of reality and she hadn't even felt it happen. Her long shirt had changed to a child's pajamas and Terri hadn't thought anything was strange.
In the child's room. . .her room, Tricia looked over things. Everything was sized for a child her age and this had been the extra room before. She quickly dressed for the day and took a look over herself. A seven year old girl wearing a pair of jeans and a sunflower shirt.
