Immersed deep in her consideration over the principal's words, Rhonda wasn't dedicating a great deal of attention to where she was heading. The expectable results of this lack of awareness were visible almost immediately, as she strolled out the door, and into Sofia, quite literally. She was moving with sufficient momentum to cause her best friend's body to squeeze right out of her clothes, glomping all over the draconic girl as she yelped at the sudden feeling of being covered in a cool, damp slime.
Quickly she backpedaled, and mercifully, Sofia didn't stick to her. There was a pause that gave the latina a chance to catch her breath as Sofia tried to reform into a humanoid shape, assisted by Lichi doing her best to hold up globs of the slimed witch. It took her several long moments, but finally, she managed to reform the majority of her vocal chords. "Soh... soh... sorry... about that..."
Rhonda swallowed audibly, moving to help support her friend's gooey form as best she could. "Uh... no, it's okay... my fault." She tried not to make it obvious that she was avoiding getting her hands near the darker orb at the center of her friend's mass. Rhonda hadn't ever really encountered a Dark Slime before, but whatever it was, she had a feeling it was bad news in some way - why else would they call it a dark slime, after all?
Lichi was quick to break the brief silence between them. "We couldn't help but listen in... are you okay?" She reached up and placed a hand on her taller dormmate's shoulder. "Some of the things she said... I had no idea she could be so harsh."
Confusion spread across Rhonda's face as Sofia joined in. "Really... threw the book at you... if you need an ehs - ehs- excuse to skip class... I'll figure something out."
She hardly would've described that talk as throwing the book at her. If anything, Hexe had been exceedingly kind to a girl who'd effectively committed fraud in order to attend her school. Just as she was about to ask what the hell they were talking about, however, it occurred to her that Hexe was an unquestionably powerful witch - and in the past, she'd been fooled easily by mystical illusions cast by decidedly less powerful magic users. It wasn't hard to imagine that, for the sake of privacy, she could cast some ward that would ensure anyone with an ear pressed to the door heard whatever the principal wanted them to hear.
"I'm... I'll be okay." Briefly she considered at least alerting Sofia to the potential issues of her new form, but just as quickly she put the idea aside. She had enough problems to deal with right now. "You, though... are you sure you're good to head to class? I mean, uh... maybe you should, I don't know... get used to the whole slime thing first?"
She shook her head carefully, trying to make sure no glops of her own body flew off in some random direction. "Gonna have to deal weh - weh - weh - with it eventually." Rather impressively, she managed a little shrug. "Though uh... if you could help me over there, that'd be handy..."
"I have a suggestion for how to best accomplish locomotion!" Lichi eagerly chimed in, rocking back and forth on her heels in excitement. "Our dear Rhonda is of course exceedingly mobile, and quite strong as well now, while you, my lovely Sofia, are not. So, why not assist each other!" She grinned. "You could easily form yourself into a thin membrane, covering the majority of Rhonda's body - she would hardly be impeded by the extra weight, and your magical essence would even provide her a degree of protection! You'd be in symbiosis, two beings working together as one and benefitting greatly from it! And perhaps when you inevitably hunger, and desire to consume human flesh, Rhonda can direct your appetite against only the lawless scum who deserve such treatement!"
It wasn't a terrible idea, but the last part gave Rhonda pause. "...isn't that more of a Venom sorta thing?"
The young girl blushed. "I... may have watched a certain film recently, yes..."
She let out a small sigh. Alright, aside of what strange place it originated from, it wasn't a bad concept. They were usually joined at the hip anyway in a metaphorical sense, with one occasion where it had been literal. Yet as she considered it, Hexe's words flashed through her mind, as she found herself uncertain of whether she wanted to risk some bizarre new occurence would result from having Sofia wrapped around her for too long. Even for a good cause, did she really want to go meddling with this sort of thing, especially when there was the chance that the Countess had left some other nasty surprise amidst that summoning spell?
