One quick search online and Alec knew that the guy who conceptualized the "Six Degrees of Separation" hasn't changed. According to this theory made by Karinthy states that everyone around the world is, at an average, six social connections to one another. That I am connected to the Prince of Norway via a friend of my friend of my friend… so on and so forth. That means Alec is six steps away from every person in the world. With that fact, he knew that any person he possessed is one step closer to the body he wants. That begs the question, who does he want? According to the Internet, there are 7.5 billion people in the world and they are equal games to the reach of his powers. That's a lot of choices for one chooser. Alec never really give it much thought as letting himself flow than control the river of choices would prove less stressful for him.
Alec did Eric's morning routine and went to the coffee place where Eric gets his breakfast before going to the Social Service center. There are not many people inside as the store recently opened. And besides, most stores are still closed thanks to the mess the storm made last night.
"The usual," Alec said.
The Latino barista smiled and went over the back to prepare a cup of regular joe and yesterday's stale doughnuts. While he was waiting, Alec surveyed the place for the next body he'll jump in. By the door, a father is drinking dark coffee and reading the newspaper while his son is watching a cartoon on his tablet. Next to them is a teen covered in a comfortable sweater and headphones wrapped on both ears. He's busy writing an essay on his laptop. On the other end of a store, a large man with tattoos on his arms is drinking Ice cold creamy Frappuccino with chocolate sprinkles and marshmallows. A cat is rubbing on thick muscular feet. From Eric's memories, his name is Fernando Holman and he's a frequent customer around these parts.
"Here's your coffee and a Bavarian doughnut," The barista smiled. Alec grabbed his meal and weighed in his choices between bites.
