Department had prepared as Emily Smith's cover identity.
For although it was true Emily Smith had been born as Emily
Smith at the sleepy milltown of Fire Bottle that had been 189-1/2
years earlier when the female human baby Emily Smith was born on the Midnight Hour of October 31rst 1831 .
And if Mistress Hexe had gone to the village of Fire Bottom and
visited the records of their Saint Cuthbertson Anglican Scots Church she would have learned that the bawling newborn Emily
Smith had never actually been baptized,due to the time and date
she was born,The same file would have told Head Mistress Hexe
that Emily Smith had died in the Hollows Hale Orphanage fire of
October 30th 1840
and if Hexe had gone to the graveyard at Potters Field she would
have come across Emily Smiths tombstone amongst the group
of graves from that orphanage fire.
A fact the Pass Port and Foreign Affairs clerks preferred to keep
both literally and figureatively buried for the wellbeing of their
clients,who of course came into being because of that orphanage
fire 180 years earlier.

1840 and Emily Smith was screaming her lungs out inhaling
the death dealing fumes of the blazing orphanage she and the
other 26 doomed unbaptized orphans were trapped inside.Later

but at the flaming fiery heat of the moment Emily and her
orphaned brothers and sisters were too busy feeling trapped,betrayed
and generally just dying horribly.
Days earlier they'd all been bubbly buoyant spirits because of talk

the whole lot of them.
And now screaming coughing dying Emily and the 26 other kids
were well on their ways to literally becoming 'spirits'
And as Emily lay dying out of the smoke,ash and fiery glow of
the raging inferno stepped out
not Saint Peter with the Key to the Pearl Gates
but the red and orange scaled talon pawed forearm of a
Scandinavian firedrake,known in the inferal regions as
Charna Drakens-Freya the Third who grasped the dying humans
hands as best she could in her own much bigger firedrake paws.
Charna couldn,t prevent the fire,which had no effect on her body
from claiming Emily
but she ,and the other 26 adoptive parents
could make sure the human orphans weren't alone when they made the transition.
