VixDolls: Typhoid Amy

added by Anonymous 2 years ago A I

Jeanette, Steven, and Martin made up Field Team 42, a team of DAMNIT agents working to preserve the normalcy of the universe. They stood at techno-magical consoles in a small metal dome, just beyond the Pleasant Hills county line. The dome, a state-of-the-art DAMNIT mobile lab, was fully cloaked from electromagnetic rays and insulated from most wavelengths of reality warping, making Field Team 42 practically untouchable. From the communicators came a beep, then a message from Amy.

"Martin here, what's your status?"
"Field Team 42, Davis and I need teleporter pullout immediately. I'm sending you my coordinates."
"Roger that, plugging and locking tele coords."

The teleporter in the center of the mobile lab shone with a bright light. Amy and Davis stepped out of the teleporter, panting and sweating like they had just ran a marathon.
"What happened to you guys?" Jeanette asked.
"Close encounter with highly infectious reality cascade vectors," Amy breathed. "But we managed to get away."

Davis took off his field pack and set it on the ground with a grunt. "Man, this thing is heavy." He took a cord from within the pack and plugged it into a console, which immediately began crunching data. "We've got some juicy data on cascade parameters and gray matter interference patterns. I think this will be enough to set a target for intradimensional lancing."
"Good," Jeanette affirmed. "From what we've modeled in the lab so far, this cascade can take on anything as a vector, not the least of which are those VixDolls. We could be looking at total coverage of Earth in a matter of days. Amy, Davis, have either of you received cascade infection through your shields?"
"Nope," Davis said.

Amy hesitated. Jeanette was right. This VixDoll infection was incredibly dangerous and posed a grave threat to reality as they knew it. If she revealed her "little gift", the others would have no problem putting a bullet through her brain to stop the spread of the cascade.
She reasoned to herself, "I can still be a productive agent, right? I'm not fully infected. I still have DAMNIT technology to keep me from going under." Amy touched her pack nervously and said, "Nope, not at all." She gave a strained smile.

Jeanette looked at her suspiciously. Then she turned back to the consoles of the mobile lab.

"That's strange," Martin said. "It looks like quantum flux levels in the lab spiked for a few milliseconds."
"Did anything get through the reality insulation?" Jeanette asked.
"Doesn't look like it," Steven replied. "Besides, the VixDolls don't even know we're here. There's nothing in this lab that can possibly act as a vector."
Jeanette sighed. "Well, while we wait for DAMNIT to confirm our data..." She pulled a white choker from her purse. Amy stopped breathing for a second. "Check out this cute accessory I just got!"

Amy gasped, "Where did you get that?!"
Jeanette squeezed the white plastic choker between her fingers. "Like it? I got it from a friend a few days ago. It's some new brand, I think. Boutique Plastique?"
Davis said, "Looks nice, Jeanette." Steven nodded and said, "Try it on."

Before Amy could react, Jeanette placed the choker around her throat. It fused seamlessly with her skin, leaving the woman with a glossy white ring around her neck.
Martin said, "You know, I actually got my wife a necklace from Boutique Plastique on Saturday."
Amy watched as plastic spread across Jeanette's upper torso. Her coat and undershirt dissolved, revealing her naked breasts. White engulfed them and they became flawless, cantaloupe-sized spheres.
"Oh, really?" Jeanette said, as her body creaked and reshaped into an outrageous hourglass figure. "I've been thinking about getting some accessories from them." Her waist shrank and her hips and thighs ballooned, ripping holes in her jeans. The white plastic turned to a rusty orange-red. "Maybe a choker." Her hands and feet became plastic fox paws, while a big orange tail ballooned from behind her.
Steven smirked. "I didn't know you wore chokers, Jeanette." Davis rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Yeah, I didn't think you were into that sort of thing. I thought you didn't even own any chokers."
"I just wanna try something new," Jeanette said. "I think it fits the real me." Plastic overtook her face, and soon there was nothing but an orange-red VixDoll.

The Doll spoke. "Well, I think it's time for me to head back to headquarters and update the Director on the new findings."
It turned to Amy and smiled. "See you later." It walked into the teleporter and vanished.

Amy had been frozen in a cold sweat throughout Jeanette's transformation, but now her wits returned to her. She looked at Davis. "Did you see that?" she asked frantically.
"What?" Davis said in confusion. "What's wrong with Doll 322? It looked fine to me."
Amy stuttered, "D-Davis, put on your pack!"
Davis looked at his pack and snorted. "Really? That thing weighs maybe 60 pounds. I'm not wearing it any longer than I have to. We're shielded in here, remember? Besides, I can't disconnect it from the console yet."
Martin and Steven turned back towards their console screens. "You know, it really is convenient that we have a Doll on the team," Martin remarked. "It would be way too obvious to just waltz into Pleasant Hills and go around chatting up Dolls about reality fractures in the area."

Amy clutched her head. She ran through the teleporter, back to DAMNIT headquarters.

"That girl," Davis muttered. "You know, with how paranoid she's being, I get the feeling she knows something we don't."
Steven turned towards Martin again. "Hey, you got your wife a Boutique Plastique necklace, right? How did she like it?"
Martin grinned. "Oh, she loved it! When she put it on, she was like, 'I'm never taking this thing off again'".
"I still can't believe you married a Doll," Steven grunted.
"Well, it was a very cute Doll," Martin said. The two turned back towards their consoles, Martin's plastic fox tail poking through the hole in his chair.
