Ty's Power

Stick to the Rules

“…and with the resurgence in the bee population, and the added bonus of them never biting allergic people anymore, should improve the overall health of the plant life.” Clarice turned from the large whiteboard to address one of the present girls.

Meeting were not an uncommon thing for this group. But in the past the meetings were mostly about the findings and progress of the translated texts. Some would do it book report style, other would go all out and have flashy PowerPoints, but each did their report with their own sense of identity and it definitely made these meetings far more entertaining. The booze for the legal members also didn’t hurt, admittedly.

But lately, the meetings have turned to from findings (not that they stopped their research entirely, they simply put that on the backburner for now) to making lists on what needs to be righted by their goddess’s avatar – though for some ideas, this meeting was also a soundboard to see if it does need to addressed or get ideas on how to address it. While the initial subjects had been delegated by Clarice and her oldest friends to the girls, they all found something that needed attention.

“Jean, as much as the undo global warming idea is favoured, undoing it would be pointless unless the direct cause was removed or minimized, so I would appreciate if you would do some number crunching and find out the most dangerous companies that are the direct cause and what should be done to prevent them from further harm.”

The brunette pulled up her laptop and got to work, “Got it, ma’am.”

“Marcy,” Clarice addressed the redhead, “Is the file for affected by war areas done?”

“Almost. I’m polishing it up to look a bit more professional. I should have it sent to Dana by this evening.”

“Very well. Darcy?”

“I sent the list to Dana before we came here, so we’re good.”

“Alright,” Clarice looks over the list and nods, “That should be it for the main part. Now, girls,” The greying woman turned to face the crowd, “I know we all want to make changes to the world…but wanting to turn your old hateful teachers, exes or horrid relatives into…whatever, is not a good example of us as a whole.”

“But what if they continue being horrible, abusive and terrible to innocent people?”

“That is a concern,” Clarice agrees, “But, while it may not feel that to you, they are small fish in a much bigger ocean,” Clarice heard most of the girls muttering angrily under their breaths and decides on a solution, “How about this: we fix as much of the world for the better we can…and then we ask if Taylor may…inconvenience those people. Especially if the changes done have not impacted them in some way already?”

The muttering turned to hushed conversations, but, while some were a bit miffed, they agreed on that idea.

“Alright, meeting adjourned. Do your tasks, complete the chores and go have some fun.”

Some muttering, some whispering, but all of the girls and the older members of the commune all filed out, leaving Clarice to finish up and save the data. When the door shut, she sighed, “Goddess, I want a spa trip. I wonder if I can ask 10 years off my body for my birthday…”
