Sam and I set out from the food court to wander the mall. I smirked as I thought about walking in with a sexy buff Sam, and now I’m walking out with a portly Sam at my side. The way she waddled now, Sam could barely keep pace with me.
We didn’t make it far before Sam needed a break. “Slow down for a second.” Sam said as she sucked air. She looked winded already, and we had only walked the length of a few stores. “Can you slow down a bit.” Sam said as she tried to catch her breath. “This body can’t keep up.....” She breathed heavily. “I’m taking twice the steps you are with these short legs.” Sam said taking a deep breath.
While Sam was trying to catch her breath, a college girl wearing short shorts walked by. Her long lean legs were on full display. “Show off.” Sam said in a catty tone. “She just wants attention. It’s way too cold out for shorts.” Sam sounded jealous. I got a kick out of Sam’s cattiness.
“Come on killer.” I said as I began walking again. I quickly had to slow down to let Sam catch back up. I was beginning to get annoyed with how slow she is.
“Hey slow down. These short legs can’t keep up.” Sam whined as she tried to keep pace.
I rolled my eyes at her comment. “At this point I would make her taller if it would speed her up.” I thought to myself. That thought was interrupted by the feeling of my shoe coming untied. We stopped as I bent down to tie it. Standing back up I could see Sam had wandered off and was looking into a store window. Something seemed different about her. It wasn’t until I was standing beside her that I realized she had grown taller.
“Sorry I got distracted.” Sam said turning to me. “Hey did you get shorter?” She asked.
“No, you got taller.” I said realizing that all her complaining had accidentally caused me to make her taller.
“Awe thank you.” She said in a cheery tone.
We started back walking again. This time Sam could keep pace. She was about 5’7” now, and looked thinner than a second ago. She hadn’t lost weight, but her mass being spread across an extra 7 inches of height gave the illusion of her being thinner. “I need to be more careful,” I thought.
Little did I know Sam’s plan was paying off.
