It was Vicky who was scampering down the stairs. I went from glancing at the timid woman to back at the screen pretty sure she'd only grab a soda from the fridge and leave back to her room. Mid-way through I felt the need to take a leak so I paused the movie, rose from the couch and then came face to face with Vicky suddenly. Spooked I slipped and fell off the couch grumbling to myself.
Vicky asked from the other side of the couch "Are you ok?"
I said "The heck were you doing there?"
"...Watching the movie..." Vicky looked a little embarrassed herself for some reason.
"You could've sat on a couch or something... instead of waiting behind the couch I was laying on."
"...Well... you see..." Vicky took a deep breath and said in rapid speed "YouSeeIWantedToTalkToYouAboutSomethingHoweverIGotNervousThenEngrosedInTheMovieAndThenIRememberedThatIWantedToTalkToYouButWasn'tSureAboutHowToGetYourAttentionWithoutDisturbingYouAndYouLookedGrumpyAndNowYouLookEvenMoreGrumpyA-"
I said "Quiet... I think I got some of it... Just a little irritated about last week, the pond, and whatever this coming week has in store..."
"Well umm... about this coming week... Do you have any plans?"
"Not really. Was thinking of just laying back, maybe taking a walk or two... just actually relaxing."
"Well umm... Would you like to do stuff alone together?" The little blondie was looking nervous and a little flushed.
I curiously asked "Are you asking me out on a date?"
Vicky stammered and said "Ah no no no, It's just... Becky had tried to get me to be a bit more sociable with other people. I think you may have picked up that I'm not exactly normal... I'm kind of alright with new women, but I tended to tense up near guys... I couldn't do anything last week, but... I think this is a sign from the heavens to try to do what I couldn't last loop!"
"You think god is telling us if we can't hang out we'll be perpetually stuck in summer vacation limbo?"
