Caleb gets into his overalls and goes outside grumbling. His Pity party is interrupted by the rooster once again crowing. He ignores it and goes to peel some ears of corn. He's about halfway through when "Cock-A-Doodle-Doo" rips through the air. It startles Caleb making him drop his corn. "Ok Mr. Rooster, it's time you shut up!" Caleb says approaching the bird. He's about to pick up the rooster to put it somewhere dark so it would shut up, when he remembers the old lady's curse. He pauses and turns to grab gloves or something just to be safe. As soon as his back is to the rooster it crows again. "That's it!" he yells and grabs the rooster without thinking. He carries it over to its little hut and throws it inside and shuts the door. "Oh no what have I done?" He says aloud. He waits for a second and when nothing happens he returns to the corn snickering, "I knew that woman was bananas." Suddenly he stops grabbing his stomach. "Aw man, I'm so hungry." He walks over to the corn on the ground picks it up and starts eating the kernels one by one. For a second he finds it kind of strange but it quickly leaves his mind as he continues eating. He's so busy eating he doesn't even notice his lips begin to harden. His teeth shrink back into his gums. Closing his eyes he enjoys the sweet corn. His nose merges with his lips into a singular beak. He absent-mindedly scratches his butt as feathers start to sprout underneath his clothes. His toes spread out and become clawed and scaley eventually bursting through his boots. The sound of ripping still isn't enough to distract him from the corn. Feathers now cover most of his body and as his arms turn into wings he drops the corn. With his corn gone Caleb chucks in surprise. His bone rearrange and change as he shrinks. His hair falls out replaced by even more feathers. Now the size of a proper chicken she struggles to get out of what was once her clothes. As the last shred of humanity leaves her mind she let's out a loud brawk. The chicken that wad once Caleb goes about finishing the remaining corn.
