Lisa now tore the stop watch away from Paige, quickly pressing the stop button. As she stared at the number her jaw gaped in shock.
"7 years 10 months and 15 days!"
Slowly turning to Paige, Lisa was shocked to see her diminutive friend, swamped in her clothing. "Oh my god Paige," Lisa exclaimed. "Look at you! You're a second grader again!"
Paige now tried to adjust her clothing, kicking her overly large sneakers away as now stood on tiptoe to look at the dial. "Aw man my birthday is still in December," she groaned. Paige now shook her tiny hands free as she reached for the stop watch. "Cmon Lisa hand it over," she whined. "I dont want my birthday to be in December."
"Absolutely not," Lisa stated. "Your young enough!"
"Oh wheres your sense of fun Lisa," Paige scoffed. "Cmon I mean I can always change back."
Lisa was silent, her face going pale as she now looked down at her tiny friend. "Actually you can't."
"What," Paige questioned, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean I cant go back."
"Paige the watch can only make you younger not older," Lisa stated. "I, I tried to tell you. The only way to grow older is the old fashion way."
Paige gawked at her friend, her face conveying fear, anger, sadness as she looked at her friend. "No," she whispered. "No that cant be. What the fuck do you mean I have to grow up the old fashioned way!"
Lisa said nothing, watching as Paige first screamed, then lashed out at her. Lisa did nothing, Paiges tiny fists doing no damage as she now hit Lisa's leg. As the tiny 7year old began to slow down, Lisa could hear her first whimper before crying.
"I'll figure this out Paige I promise," Lisa soothed, drawing the tiny girl into a tight hug and lifting her out of her too large Jeans. Paige said nothing, continuing to cry as Lisa tried to put a plan together.
