This was a nightmare. When the day started, Tina had been a boy named Tim. Then that bitch Noelle had come onto the bus, holding the hand of that midget Ashley. Tim didn't like either of them- Noelle was a goody two shoes, and Ashley was a pint-sized bitch. Then Noelle had dared to ask him if he'd give up his seat? Yeah, whatever!
He remembered glancing at Adam when he heard Noelle say "I wish..." And everything changed. He'd shrunk down a puny 3rd grader- and a girl at that, wearing a white blouse and a navy skirt. And his backpack had changed into a pink My Little Pony pack- with Pinkie Pie featured prominently. The fact that she now knew who Pinkie Pie was just made this all the more disturbing.
Noelle had told her to be a good girl, and sit up towards the front, and that's what she'd done. What was worse is how this...curse...or whatever, had changed her. Inside, she was still herself, but she couldn't act on any of her baser urges- she was a good girl now. It made her ill.
Some brat's mom had forgotten to pack his lunch. He sat there like a dope at lunch, his eyes quietly begging for someone to take pity on him. What Tina had wanted to do was tease him and make a big production of eating her sandwich. What she actually did was smile at him and slide him her entire lunchbag!
The whole day had been like that; any time she'd thought about being a jerk to anyone, instead, she'd been a perfect little angel! She was going to get Noelle Bishop, somehow. But how do you fight someone with magic wishing powers?
Tina wished she was smarter. This was what she had Adam for, damn it! She would have to try and contact him- if he even remembered who she was. By the end of the day, her teacher had given her a gold star 'as usual' (whatever the hell that meant), and all the other kids had been super nice to her. For some reason, this made her feel happy.
When she got home, she told her mother and little sister (who she was now a LOT closer to in age than before) that she loved them, and hoped they'd had a good day. To her shock, that had earned her a hug from both of them. She couldn't remember the last time her mother had hugged her, or the last time she'd let Vicky hug her.
Then she'd gone up to her room and actually did her homework! What the hell was wrong with her? And even worse, she'd been happy to do it- she'd even hummed to herself as she worked! She never recalled schoolwork being so easy before either. Did Noelle make her smarter? Or had she always been smarter than she'd thought?
Then another shock. Her mother had come into her room and given her a plate of cookies and a glass a milk. "A snack for my bright girl." Her mother smiled at her.
"Thank you, Mom. But you should really give me a healthy snack, like an apple." What was she saying? Those cookies smelled great!
Her mother just gave her a peck on the cheek. "Love you, baby."
"I love you too, Mom." It felt good to say that. Why?
She opened up her laptop after her Mom left and got on Adam's Discord. She was no longer a member of his channel, but she remembered his password. She sent him a message.
"Adam, my name is Tina. I'm hoping your remember me as Tim. Noelle Bishop did something to me. If you don't respond, I'll understand."
And then she waited.
