I started pacing around my room, trying to decide what to do with the mirror. Maybe I should try a day as the cute librarian or maybe my jock rival? I even considered telling Ron about it (except for me looking at his junk). He might know someone to possess.
That's when my gaze fell on a comic book lying on my desk and an interesting thought entered my head. I had only tested the mirror with Ron and my grandpa, people existing in real life. But what about fictional characters in comics, games, cartoons? Could I use this mirror to possess one of those? The line ‘Say the name and live their fame’ is fairly open for interpretation. Only one way to find out.
The comic was about a female superhero called ‘Mega-Girl’, who had all of your typical hero abilities, super strength, super speed, super flight. I placed myself in front of the mirror and loudly said the name of the heroine’s real identity, “Clara Carn”. Like the others before her, her face appeared inside the mirror. She had a youthful appearance with short, blonde hair. Though unlike those before it's clearly drawn like in the comics.
Everything had worked so far, so only one step was left to try. And I took that step forward. I felt my body sinking into the mirror. Again there was the darkness, the immobility, the light and the feeling of falling.
I awoke in a weird room. It was a bedroom, but the colors of everything around me were much more saturated, as if they had been drawn, just in a 3D space. Am I inside the comic book? Is that how the comic book world looks to its characters? I moved to what I assumed was a mirror and saw my– well, Clara Carn’s body. She looked exactly as she did in the comics. She has probably been in the process of dressing up as I was only in my underwear, giving me a good look at her lean, yet muscular body.
Obviously I couldn't resist and started to feel her breasts. Not the biggest, but still felt nice in the hands. I considered going further and eyed her panties in the mirror, but there was something else I had to confirm first. If it worked out I’d have more than enough time for everything else.
“Sean Connors,” I said out loud. Hearing her voice for the first time, it wasn't exactly what I imagined while reading. Immediately everything went dark and soon after I found myself thrown out of the window again. Unfortunately my carpet wasn't as soft as I had hoped. Might have to place some pillows here before I use it the next time. But after righting myself I couldn't help but grin in excitement. The ability to also take over lifes of fictional figures opened up, quite literally, worlds to me. The only question I really had to ask myself now was, which universe I want to visit first.
