Lisa is too preoccupied with her predicament she doesn't immediately notice her mom pulling into a parking lot. The car coming to a stop jolts her back to reality. Looking up, Lisa sees they're now at a clinic.
"Mom, I don't think I need to see a doctor. I just need some sleep," Lisa stammers.
"Honey you're pale as a ghost, can't sit still, and look like you're about to throw up."
Wasting more time isn't going to help with that Lisa thinks. But her mother has already stepped out of the car. Lisa considers making a ran for home, but the distance is still too great for that.
Unbuckling herself, Lisa steps out to join her mother. Heading into the clinic, Lisa is horrified to see that the waiting room is packed. Even worse Lisa realizes that shrinking feeling must have been on the money, as she sees that her mother is now taller than her, placing her on the wrong end of that growth spurt.
After checking her in, Lisa's mom has her sit down then begins asking questions to fill out the check in paperwork. Lisa half heartedly makes up some symptoms she's been experiencing. As her braces vanish indicating her departure from teen hood, Lisa wonders if there's anything she can do to speed up the wait.
